Providing advice on all areas of regulation, CGAS supported the Risk and Compliance division by preparing for an FSA audit providing a plan for remedial action, including an in-depth review of all business written for 2009 and introducing a new Quality Assurance programme. Introduced a new range of manuals to meet regulatory requirements and developed a new training and assessment regime for the approval of advisers, Supported the production of a new TCF pack with associated MI.
CGAS supported the Risk and Governance function within the Marketing business by managing a project with the objective of linking the end to end process architecture and constructing an appropriate control framework around it. This required the development of a methodology to coordinate the disciplines of Six Sigma and Lean with Risk and Control management and supporting the business leaders to embed this within their day to day operations.
CGAS provided a review of assurance around a major outsourced relationship.
CGAS supplied the management of a Group-wide Operational Risk programme involving multiple workstreams and international coverage.
CGAS provided and deliverered a Group ORSA and ERM framework training programme to senior management, ensuring that a risk based decision-making culture was in place and could be evidenced in line with Solvency 2 regulation.
CGAS supported the senior risk team during an exciting and busy period for the risk team. The work focused primarily on Operational Risk and working with the leadership team to ensure a business leading and Solvency 2 compliant function and business.
CGAS provided support and guidance to the Solvency 2 programme by managing a suite of prgrammes including development of ORSA. his included liaison with CRO and Risk Function to develop the embedding of ERM framework across UK Insurance Business and transition to BAU.
Developed all non-financial risk policies for Board approval.
CGAS was also responsible for the design and development of training and awareness program across UK Insurance Business.
Provided oversight and guidance on the the development of MI and reporting needs across all risks, including IT capability.
Advised on the enhancement of operational risk ICA processes and subsequent Solvency 2 Internal Model.
CGAS provided interim management services developing the central risk & conmpliance functions, supporting major initiatives and providing strategic input to the Society's development. This included providing sponsorship for, and working closely with, the Basel 2 intitiative leading to the successful credit risk waiver application.
